So many visitors come to New Harmony during the summer months. Today is a great day in the low 90s, the flowers are in bloom and it is a perfect day to head to Murphy Park, in town, for a picnic. Everything is New Harmony is in walking distance, from our Museum to our Art Galleries. We are known for our Antiques & Dining but what most may not know is that New Harmony is a great place to find a comfortable setting to read a book or paint a picture. You will be inspired by the early 1900 architecture of the buildings and homes and the many gardens around town. We are a golf cart community which means you can drive on almost all the streets in town in a rented golf cart. The Wabash River surrounds us with endless scenery and a great place to go fishing. The bridge into Illinois is a great piece of New Harmony's river scenery. The river trail is another great place to walk or ride your golf cart. With so much outdoors to offer, I don't want to forget to tell you about the shopping. We have 6 of the best Antique Shops in the area including many specialty shops that carry New Harmony Artist made souvenirs. New Harmony is a special place with events happening throughout the year. So if you like to come when there are events or at a more private time, New Harmony is definitely a place you will be glad you discovered.
